About Emma Sebastian.
Emma was born and raised in California—making wine, surfing, and always chasing a new creative hobby. She moved to Seattle in 2017, traded her surfboard for a paddleboard, and earned a degree in Visual Communication Design and Illustration from Seattle Pacific University.
Before joining Starbucks, she worked at a few creative studios where she designed everything from brand identities and packaging to interiors, signage, and merch. Her client work included Yonder Cider, Bottlehouse Wine Bar, Mr. West Café + Bar, and Girl Meets Dirt.
Today, Emma is a designer on the Starbucks Reserve merchandising team, where she creates story-driven collections across drinkware, apparel, and seasonal programs. She also consults on Core collections, helping guide broader brand work and licensed collaborations with partners like Marriott, the Seattle Kraken, and the Seattle Seahawks.
She’s most at home working across print, packaging, and environmental design—and loves bringing brands to life through thoughtful products, creative problem-solving, and strong collaboration.
